About the Role

This is a hands-on position working alongside the Workshop Manager to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and safely. The role would suit a quality tradesperson who is looking to complement their existing trade skills and gain some management experience and be involved in the operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing workshop staff

• Coordinating maintenance, repair, and fabrication work alongside the Manager

• Entering and completing invoices in Xero

• Basic invoicing experience in Xero accounting software is a bonus.

• Assisting with timesheets and general office support

• Ordering parts and materials

• Liaising with customers both in person and over the phone

• Working alongside the Workshop Manager to complete tasks

• Ensuring WH&S procedures are followed

• Maintaining workshop equipment in safe working order

To Be Successful You Will Be/Have

• Qualified Boilermaker or Sheet Metal Worker

• 4+ years of boilermaking or sheet metal work experience

• TIG and Aluminium welding experience.

• Trade papers (if applying as a tradesperson)

• Strong teamwork skills with initiative and problem-solving ability

• A natural instinct to lead your peers and look to help people improve their skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt

• Car licence

• Forklift licence
