About the role

Fuel Services Australia is seeking an experienced Boiler Maker to join our team in Pinkenba, Queensland. As a Boiler Maker, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of fuel tankers and fuel transfer equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fuel services facility. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

1. Fabricate, install, maintain and repair of fuel tankers, fabricate and install pumping systems, tanks, pipes and other metal structures

2. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications to carry out work accurately

3. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as welding equipment, to complete assigned tasks

4. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to minimise downtime and breakdowns

5. Work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve any issues or challenges

6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

1. Qualified Boiler Maker with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role

2. Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

3. Proficient in the use of a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and arc welding

4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues

5. Commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment

6. Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship
