Task & Responsibilities

Tasks

• Repairing steel frames and auxiliary equipment
• Installing seals, locks and handles 
• Repair / renew auxiliary equipment i.e. tool boxes, bar boxes, mudguards, stays etc.
• Finishing, detailing and washing duties to complete the repair job
• Removing and disposing of damaged vehicle components
• Preparing vehicles for repair and refitting new/repaired parts
• Sanding, laminating, gelcoat repairs, and finishing
• Final detailing and washing to ensure a pristine finish
• Repair / renew steel fabrication i.e. sub frames, skid plates
• Prepare and laminating of all parts
• Drilling and tapping where required
• Fitment of lights and air ducts
• Fastening wire looms, fit and connect lights to front, sides and rear of trailer.
•  Fit components to interior of trailer including load lock, double load pockets, air flow floors,
  meat rails and remote evaporators.
• Any required repairs and detailing ready for delivery to Fitting department
• Cutting and shaping of fiberglass walls, roofs, floors front and back ends in preparation for box assembly using power tools
• Processing timber/plywood and foam, prepare foam beams in advance fir jobs, wrap foam beams and bonds

• Foster a harmonious working relationship with fellow employees;
• Follow the Company procedure of dispute resolution, to seek assistance from your supervisor when required and never try to resolve a situation yourself;
• Understand and apply the Company’s policies and procedures in relation to Workplace Health and Safety and Human Resource Management;
• Comply with legislation surrounding health and safety including working in a safe manner ensuring the safety of yourself and other employee’s and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable on site.
