Key Responsibilities

• As a Motor Mechanic at ASFA Auto Care, your core duties will align with the ANZSCO description for Motor Mechanic (General) and include:
• Detect and diagnose mechanical & electrical faults in engines and vehicle components
• Inspect and troubleshoot issues using modern diagnostic tools and equipment
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other parts
• Repair or replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, engine tune-ups and logbook servicing
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure proper performance
• Conduct follow-up inspections and road tests as required
• Advise customers on necessary maintenance and repairs
• Complete accurate service records and maintain workshop safety and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

✔️ Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role

✔️ Skills in diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of motor vehicle issues

✔️ Ability to use diagnostic computers and workshop tools effectively

✔️ Strong attention to detail, safety-focused work ethic, and excellent communication skills

✔️ Relevant mechanical trade qualification or equivalent experience
