$60,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience

Regional Appliance & Electrical Services is a locally owned and operated Illawarra business with a strong reputation for honest, dependable service. Established in 1998, we have been supporting domestic and commercial customers across the region for over 25 years.

We are currently seeking an Appliance Service Technician to join our team.

This is a full-time mobile role, based from our Fairy Meadow office and servicing customers’ homes across the Illawarra, from Helensburgh to Gerringong.

This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving and providing reliable service to customers. You will be carrying out repairs and service work on domestic whitegoods, including both in-warranty and out-of-warranty jobs.

About the role

In this role, your duties will include:

• Carrying out service and repair work on domestic whitegoods

• Attending customers’ homes to diagnose faults and complete repairs

• Working on both in-warranty and out-of-warranty appliance jobs

• Communicating with customers in a professional and friendly manner

• Liaising with the office team regarding job updates, parts and bookings

• Completing job notes and required paperwork accurately

• Managing your daily jobs and travel schedule efficiently

• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional work van

• Following safe work practices while working in customers’ homes

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous appliance repair experience preferred

• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Confidence working in customers’ homes

• A friendly, professional and reliable manner

• Strong communication skills

• Good attention to detail

• The ability to work independently while being supported by the office team

• Good time management and organisational skills

• A current driver’s licence

• Your own tools

• A disconnect/reconnect licence would be highly regarded

• An artic/refrigerant handling licence would be highly regarded

• A Working with Children Check and Police Check, or willingness to obtain these

Experience with domestic whitegoods is preferred, however we are open to interviewing the right person with a strong work ethic, practical skills and willingness to learn.
