About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team at EXPRESS DOOR SERVICES' in Prestons, NSW. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tradesperson to contribute to the manufacturing and repair of high-quality industrial doors. As a Welder, you will play a vital role in the success of our business, delivering precision work to the highest safety and quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Perform a variety of welding tasks, including MIG welding, to fabricate and repair industrial door components
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate and compliant welding work
Operate and maintain welding equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure timely completion of projects
Identify and troubleshoot any welding-related issues, proposing solutions to improve processes
Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
Heavy lifting involved

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Welding or Metal Fabrication, with a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience
Demonstrated expertise in MIG welding techniques
Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and the ability to work safely at all times
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
