Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plastics Technician to join our team at TrendPac. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving our delivery targets through effective equipment setup, line optimisation, problem-solving, and corrective actions across all equipment in the plant. This role ensures that Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost standards and performance measures are met.

 Night Shift - 11:50 PM to 7:36 AM - Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate moulding machines, moulds, and auxiliary equipment to produce functional parts rapidly.

• Support the company by performing essential functions and other assigned duties.

• Participate in training and development programs to progress through multiple skill-based levels.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safety culture by adhering to all WHS policies and procedures.

• Report incidents and hazards promptly and seek advice on safe work practices.

• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with SWI.

• Participate in safety initiatives, training, and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive quality culture.

• Raise and escalate quality issues/concerns.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping (GMP) and comply with quality requirements.

• Contribute to overall line efficiency and ensure finished products meet standards.

• Accurately record downtime and support other technicians.

• Minimise waste and errors and accurately record waste.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Experience and knowledge of Die-Setting

• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to safely use workshop machinery, power tools, and hand tools.

• Sound numeracy and literacy skills.

• Basic understanding of GMP, quality principles, and safety management principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
