Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer specifications
• Conduct engine, transmission, brake, and suspension repairs
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately
• Inspect vehicles and provide clear, professional assessments of required work
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient workflow
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

Skills and Experience

• Relevant trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics (Certificate III or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a motor mechanic in a workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Effective communication skills
• Valid driver’s licence

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with European vehicles (BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz)
• Air conditioning (A/C) certification
• Hybrid and electric vehicle experience (advantageous)
• Roadworthy inspection certification (where applicable)
