About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable professional to join the finance team at Macktec Pty Ltd working with Better Truck Repairs' & Better Hoses and Hydraulics, South Windsor, NSW location. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and collections. This is a crucial position that will have a direct impact on the financial health and operations of the business.

What you'll be doing

• Process invoices and ensure timely payment of vendors and suppliers
• Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, following up on outstanding payments and reconciling accounts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any billing or payment issues
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting tasks
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement efficiencies

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable functions, ideally gained in the accounting or automotive repair industries
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or a related field is preferred
