About the role

Press Ready Paper Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Guillotine Operator to join our dynamic team in Dandenong South, Victoria. As a full-time Guillotine Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our Printing & Publishing Services operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient cutting of printed materials to client specifications.

What you'll be doing

1. Operate and maintain guillotine machines to cut printed materials to precise measurements

2. Review work orders and setup machines to accommodate a variety of paper sizes, types, and quantities

3. Monitor the cutting process and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity

4. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of guillotine machines to ensure optimal performance

5. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements

6. Maintain accurate records of production, machine usage, and consumables

7. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Guillotine Operator or similar role in a printing or publishing environment

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate a variety of guillotine machines

3. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality cutting

4. Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical diagrams, and operating manuals

5. Familiarity with materials handling and inventory management

6. Commitment to workplace safety and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
