The Role
Make a difference in our community!

An exciting opportunity is available within the Compliance and Environmental Health Department at the City of Whittlesea. We need dynamic employees who are passionate about continuous improvement and ready to take on new challenges.

Directly managing the City Compliance Team, the Coordinator City Compliance provides expert knowledge and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. They are continually looking for ways to improve processes and identify potentials for efficiency gains. This role has a large focus on supporting the City Compliance officers and responding to escalated external complaints.

About you
A successful applicant will:

  • Have sound knowledge of the City of Whittlesea Community Local Law 2024, Local Government Act 1989/2020, and Road Safety Road Rule 2017.
  • Have experience in leading a Local Government enforcement team.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience delivering an exceptional standard of customer service in a high-pressure environment.
  • Have integrity of the highest standard.
  • Be enthusiastic about and able to drive change in the workplace.
  • Be confident working with new and existing technologies.
  • Have the ability to form strong relationships with direct reports.
  • Be prepared to enforce legislation out in the community.
  • Be confident in making decisions which have financial implications on both the community and organisation.
  • Have a current Australian driver’s license.
