The Opportunity

Due to the final stage of mobilisation, we are seeking two (2) Zone Supervisors to fill our remaining vacancies across the following regions:

  • Zone Supervisor – City South Zone

  • Zone Supervisor – City Zone

Each role is responsible for leading cleaning operations across an assigned cluster of approximately 14 schools and early education centres, supporting teams of around 30 staff.

These are hands-on leadership roles overseeing both daytime and evening cleaning operations, ensuring service excellence, staff support, compliance and strong relationships with school stakeholders.

Zone Supervisors are provided with a fully equipped company vehicle to support mobility across their allocated zone.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting cleaning teams across multiple school and EEC sites

  • Overseeing day and evening service delivery, ensuring high standards at all times

  • Acting as the key relationship partner for school leaders and onsite stakeholders

  • Managing rosters, coordinating shift coverage and supporting staff where required

  • Stepping in to perform hands-on cleaning when needed

  • Completing and supervising deep-cleaning tasks (carpets, floor polishing, glass cleaning, etc.)

  • Conducting quality inspections, audits and compliance documentation

  • Managing stock, equipment and consumables across your zone

  • Training new staff, coaching teams and promoting Quayclean’s values

  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent matters

  • Maintaining WHS standards and ensuring safe work practices across all sites


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in school, commercial or multi-site cleaning

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to motivate, coach and support diverse teams

  • Confidence using technology for audits, reporting and timesheets

  • High personal presentation and a solutions-focused approach

  • Current Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Valid driver licence

  • Willingness and capability to perform physical cleaning and deep-cleaning tasks

Includes sites across areas such as Newcastle, Adamstown, Hamilton, Kotara South, Merewether, Fletcher, Newcastle West. Mayfield and surrounding communities.

City South Zone
Includes sites across areas such as Newcastle, Hamilton, Gateshead, Belmont, Charlestown, Cardiff, Edgeworth, Warners Bay, Swansea, Morisset and surrounding communities.
