We’re looking for a Junior Developer (.NET / C#) to join our Technology team and play a critical role in platform support, production monitoring and continuous improvement.
About the Role:
As a Junior Software Developer, you’ll work inside our Engineering team supporting our live production systems.
While feature teams focus on building new functionality, you’ll focus on protecting platform stability, investigating bugs, resolving service desk escalations, monitoring system performance and contributing code fixes.
This is not a helpdesk role.
You’ll be working directly in the codebase using C#, .NET Core, SQL, GraphQL and React to diagnose and resolve issues in real production environments.
You’ll gain hands-on exposure to:
- Production debugging.
- Root cause analysis.
- Observability & monitoring.
- Code-level bug fixes.
- Platform reliability engineering.
It’s an ideal next step for a Junior .NET Developer wanting meaningful engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support & Triage:
- Investigate and resolve escalated technical issues from Service Desk.
- Perform structured triage of support tickets (severity, impact, resolution path).
- Deliver code fixes and small enhancements in C# / .NET.
- Assist with incident response and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with Senior Developers to escalate complex issues.
Monitoring & Production Support:
- Monitor logs, performance metrics and application behaviour.
- Identify recurring issues and platform fragility.
- Contribute to improving logging, alerting and observability.
- Support uptime, SLA and performance targets.
Continuous Improvement:
- Convert recurring support issues into longer-term engineering fixes.
- Assist in automating repetitive operational tasks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and CI/CD processes.
- Contribute to improving engineering standards and reliability practices.
About You:
- 0–2+ years’ experience as a Junior Developer / Graduate Developer / Software Developer.
- Experience with C# and .NET (Core or .NET Framework).
- Comfortable writing and reading production code.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data investigation.
- Exposure to modern web technologies (React, JavaScript or similar).
- Logical problem solver with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Based on the Gold Coast or willing to relocate.
Bonus if you’ve worked with:
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Monitoring tools.
- CI/CD pipelines.
- REST APIs or GraphQL.
- AI & AI tools.
