The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Curtain Wall / Facade Installers to join our project team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of curtain wall, glazed facade, and external cladding systems on high-rise residential towers. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled tradesperson who can work at height with confidence, lead a small installation team, and deliver a precision finish on landmark apartment projects.

With ongoing projects in the pipeline, there is genuine long-term continuity of work for the right candidate, with the potential to progress into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Install curtain wall systems, unitised facade panels, glazing, and external cladding in accordance with engineering drawings, shop drawings, and manufacturer specifications.

• Interpret and work from architectural and structural drawings, installation details, and setting-out plans.

• Lead and coordinate a small team of installers, ensuring work is completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standard.

• Operate elevated work platforms (EWPs), swing stages, and mast climbers as required for facade installation at height.

• Coordinate with site management, crane operators, and other trades to ensure efficient logistics and material handling.

• Conduct pre-installation checks on materials, frames, seals, and brackets to ensure compliance with specifications prior to fitment.

• Install weatherproofing components including silicone seals, gaskets, flashing, and drainage systems to achieve a watertight envelope.

• Identify and report any design clashes, material defects, or site issues that may impact installation quality or programme.

• Maintain a clean and organised work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in safe working order.

• Actively participate in toolbox talks, site safety meetings, and comply with all WHS/OH&S requirements.

About You

You are a highly skilled facade professional who takes pride in precision work on complex, large-scale buildings. You bring:

Essential:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in curtain wall and/or facade installation on high-rise projects.

• A relevant trade certificate (e.g. Glazier, Facade Installer, or equivalent qualification).

• Current Working at Heights certification.

• Current Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence / ticket.

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and installation details.

• Experience with unitised curtain wall systems, stick systems, and/or structural glazing.

• A strong understanding of weatherproofing, sealing, and building envelope performance.

• Proven ability to lead a small installation team and coordinate with other trades on a busy construction site.

• A solid commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WHS/OH&S standards.

• A current Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Desirable:

• Experience with specific curtain wall systems such as Schuco, Reynaers, Alspec, or Capral.

• Rigging or dogging ticket for coordinating crane lifts of facade panels.

• Confined space certification.

• Experience working on projects of 14 storeys or above.

• First Aid certification.
